The goal is to create an app or a website that will allow people to view SJI’s current campus from anywhere. Parents and students will be able to explore the campus and learn more about the school. However, the primary effect that we’re trying to achieve is to preserve this campus for future generations. As SJI is about to undergo a major renovation, SJI Street View will be one of the only ways people in the future can explore this place. This is terrible English and I’m going to get a grade 2-3 for this crap lol. I must have been sleepy when I wrote this.
Armed with two iPhone 4Ss housed in pretty no brand cases powered by two no brand external batteries and mounted on a Nikon camera tripod with just a bunch of rubber bands and an eraser (yes, rubber bands, and they were borrowed from Ms Joanna Tan. That's how cheapskate we are), we gallantly went around the campus taking one of the most comprehensive photo things ever taken in the school. Actually that wasn't all the equipment we used. There was the supporting crew: the "Mother", a 4th generation iPod touch used to control the iPhones; the "Boss", a 2010 MacBook Pro; and "waitwhatwasitcalled", an AirPort Express base station that gave us fast WiFi in a school with delightful WiFi speeds.
The phones were stacked on top of each other (show photo) and the capturing of the photos was controlled by "The mother". Press "capture" on "The mother" and both phones simultaneously take a picture.
Just imagine standing in your favorite spot of the school, swiveling two phones in a full revolution, constantly clicking "capture" on "The mother" for every 10° you turn the cameras. Repeat that 4-5 times, tilting the two phones gradually towards the ceiling or the floor for each revolution and tadah! You have successfully captured a panorama! In individual shots! So now, you have pictures of lights, lights, and more lights (for pictures of the ceiling that is)! Repeat the process around 400 spots in the school and you're done!

We’ll need a separate page for this, with instructions and stuff. Also maybe we could export a screwed up panorama and put it here. Then asy "as you can see there's still a lot to do." Believe in yourself, believe you can. It's not that hard.
